Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lawn & Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead to oversee and participate in landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lawn, gardening, and landscape maintenance as well as light softscaping, along with leadership skills to supervise team members effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of landscape maintenance workers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform various landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and mulching.
- Perform winter snow removal/plowing and shovelling.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during the operation of equipment use.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn maintenance, or related fields.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a crew effectively.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple on-site services simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to operate lawn equipment safely and efficiently.
Technical Skills
- Commercial lawn mowing (Zero-turns, Stand-ons, Commercial 21" mowers)
- String trimming (Commercial Stihl trimmers)
- Edging
- Hedge and shrub pruning
- Mulch installation
- Planting annuals and perennials
- Garden bed maintenance
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Snow removal (Plowing with a truck, shovelling, and salting)
- Property inspections
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
