Job Description
Ingersoll Memorials is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Memorial Counsellor to join our team at our Woodstock showroom on a part-time basis.
This position would be a good fit for someone who enjoys meaningful work, has strong people skills, and is looking for steady part-time hours in a calm, professional environment.
This is a customer service and sales role, but it is not commission-based. We believe families should be helped with honesty and care, not pressure. The successful candidate will guide customers through the process of choosing and designing cemetery monuments and memorials with patience, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist families in person, by phone, and by email
- Help customers understand memorial options, materials, sizes, colours, lettering, and design choices
- Prepare quotes, order forms, and customer paperwork
- Maintain accurate customer records and order details
- Communicate with our Ingersoll team, designers, and production staff
- Process payments and issue receipts
- Follow up with customers throughout the process
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist with general office duties as needed

Requirements
- Previous customer service, office, or sales experience
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfort working with families who may be grieving
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work in person at our Woodstock showroom
Assets, But Not Required
- Experience in the monument, cemetery, funeral, or memorial industry
- Experience in a design, showroom, office, or consultative sales environment
- Familiarity with cemetery regulations or memorial design software
