THE OPPORTUNITY: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (TECHNICAL & RESOURCE SUPPORT D)
In this position, you will:

Perform technical coordination and operational support within the Facilities Department
-
Maintain and analyze comprehensive inventory records related to childcare programs, including program type, location, licensed facilities, number of spaces, operator information, and Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCFL) licensing requirements

Coordinate activities related to childcare licensing, compliance monitoring, occupancy approvals, and regulatory reporting requirements

Coordinate Provincial funding submissions, reporting requirements, and supporting documentation related to childcare initiatives, including use of the MyCAPS platform

Analyze and verify childcare data to support compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and coordinate documentation and processes required for the creation and ongoing operation of childcare spaces

Interpret and apply agreements, policies, and administrative procedures to support implementation, identify discrepancies, and ensure consistent application across a range of files and operational scenarios

Daily use of Office 365 Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, School Dude, LTSA, VanMap Viewer, ePro, and Adobe Acrobat

Maintain and administer records, databases, and enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and completeness, and generate reports to support operational planning and decision-making

Administer and review financial processes related to agreements, including invoicing, account tracking, reconciliations, and cost recovery, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and internal financial practices

Liaise with internal departments and external partners to obtain, clarify and exchange information related to agreements, financial processes, reconciliations, forecasting inputs, compliance requirements and operational coordination

Support implementation of District childcare policies and initiatives, including future space creation, operational planning, and service expansion opportunities

Support implementation of District childcare initiatives in alignment with principles of quality, inclusion, accessibility, and reconciliation

Perform other work within the job band as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Completion of Grade 12 plus four (4) years post-secondary education in business administration and five (5) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity in general accounting and purchasing required and experience with computerized systems such as School Dude, Oracle ePro, Perfect Mind and MyCAPS are an asset.

Ability to establish priorities well, multi-task, work independently as well as in a team environment.

Strong judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Must be able to meet the following assessments: current Word (+75%), Advanced Excel (+75%), composing correspondence and applicable Accounting.

COMPENSATION
The base salary for this position is $74,583.00 plus a comprehensive benefits package, including Municipal Pension Plan, Vancouver Employee Savings Plan, Extended Health, Dental, Group Life, Long Term Disability, Vacation, & Gratuity Days.
