This position requires availability for a split shift both before and after school. Hours are 7:00am-9:00am and 1:30pm-5:30pm OR 7:00am-10:00am and 2:30pm-5:30pm.
A total of 30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- ECE diploma and registration with the College of ECE's (preferred)
- CYW, BEd, Rec & Leisure, SS, Child and Family Studies graduates also considered
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Current Food Handler Certificate
- Clean criminal reference check with vulnerable persons screening
- French speaking is an asset
- New graduates welcome!
Skills:
- Organized with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong parent and child engagement skills
- Able to plan and implement programming for children ages 0-12
- Document and reflect using How Does Learning Happen? as a guide
- Able to make thoughtful decisions
- Regular lifting of up to 40lbs is required
Rate:
$27.50 per hour for RECE (includes WEG & CWELCC)
$22.50 per hour for other qualifications (includes WEG)
Both groups are eligible for pension, benefits, health days and professional development after successful 3 month probationary period.
