Role Overview: As a Social Media Specialist and Coordinator at Farm Food Drink, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the online presence of both our agency and our clients. You will be responsible for creating engaging content, coordinating postings, managing engagement, and executing social media marketing strategies that align with our mission to support local food economies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Coordination:
- Develop, curate, and manage engaging content for Farm Food Drink’s social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
- Create and coordinate content postings for our small food business clients, ensuring alignment with their brand voice and marketing goals.
- Design graphics, write copy, and produce multimedia content to support social media campaigns, and which align with Farm Food Drink’s brand standards.
- Create and coordinate social media and google ads to support internal and client campaigns.
- Social Media Strategy and Execution:
- Plan, execute, and manage social media campaigns for Farm Food Drink and our clients.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications to leverage new opportunities for content and engagement.
- Implement strategies to grow social media followers and increase engagement across all platforms.
- Cross-Promotional Activities:
- Initiate and manage cross-promotional postings with industry partners and local food organizations.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize content and improve engagement metrics.
- Regularly report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Project Support:
- Assist in digital marketing campaigns and projects that support Farm Food Drink’s mission and goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
- Support Farm Food Drink events and initiatives through social media promotion and coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software.
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Passion for local food economies and sustainable food systems is a plus.
