THE OPPORTUNITY
BVGlazing is currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team at our Concord facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the reliability of our manufacturing operations. Working closely with Production and Operations teams, you will help minimize downtime, maintain equipment performance, and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-
Performing preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, automated cutting, forming and machining centers and related equipment.
-
Ability to follow manufacturer instructions: diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and engineering specifications.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all safety and operational procedures and policies.

Communicate with Supervisors and Management advising of updates on machinery as well as any safety concerns or violations.

Troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions, locating sources of mechanical problems by observing, listening and using devices as appropriate as they arise.

Controlling downtime by advising ahead of time tools, machinery and equipment that require work and will be unavailable for a period of time.

Ability to fabricate parts to repair or replace existing parts utilizing machine shop tools and equipment

Control inventories for equipment, parts and supplies and anticipate what supplies may be needed.

Maintain records of all maintenance, preventative, predictive and otherwise.

Set schedules of required preventative maintenance.

Participate as a team member, contributing to the overall goals of the department and the company in general.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

3-5 years’ experience in similar capacity
-
Licensed Industrial Mechanic
-
Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment controls and repair methodology
-
Capable of reading and understanding operating and repair instructions
-
Able to work independently or as part of a team

Attention to detail

Thrives in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
BASE SALARY RANGE
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
