We are looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice / Labourer to join our growing solar and electrical team. This is a hands-on position working primarily on residential solar installations throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate has some construction experience, is comfortable working at heights and outdoors, and is interested in gaining practical electrical and solar experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residential solar electrical installations
- Run wire from rooftop solar equipment through the attic and into the basement
- Splice and terminate electrical wiring under the direction of an experienced electrician
- Install and route conduit/piping on the exterior of homes
- Assist with landing wires in electrical panels, depending on experience and qualifications
- Assist with pulling, securing, and organizing wire
- Help with general electrical and construction-related tasks
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions
Qualifications
- Some construction, electrical, or solar experience is preferred
- Electrical apprentice experience is an asset
- Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Able to perform physical labour and lift materials
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must take safety seriously
