Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and Skilled Laborer to join our team for an upcoming telecom ducting project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks that support construction, maintenance, and operational activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, teamwork, and quality are prioritized. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Hourly wage will be based on experience. You will be expected to work approximately 50 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with telecom ducting project by performing tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and material handling
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Prepare work sites by cleaning and organizing materials and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
- Support team members in completing project deadlines effectively
- Perform general cleanup duties to maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a laborer or in a similar manual labor role is preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented mindset
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of tools and construction materials is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
- Valid drivers license with ability to commute to the Dundurn Army Base each day
Pay: $16.00-$27.00 per hour
