Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic massage treatments including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual patient needs.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment strategies and document progress accurately.
- Educate clients on self-care practices, injury prevention, and occupational health considerations to support ongoing wellness.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop integrated pain management plans for patients with complex conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment space in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay current with industry advancements, certifications, and best practices in medical massage therapy and wellness care.
- Provide exceptional patient service by actively listening, demonstrating empathy, and fostering a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing or certification body.
- Proven experience in medical spa settings or similar environments with expertise in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to develop customized treatment plans.
- Familiarity with pain management techniques and occupational health principles.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional and compassionate approach to client care.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or wellness clinic is highly desirable; additional certifications in advanced massage techniques are a plus.
