We are looking for an experienced Lead Window Installer to guide and support our installation crew on residential and commercial window projects. This position is responsible for completing high-quality window installations while leading by example on site. The Lead Window Installer will work directly with installers, assist with layout and preparation, verify measurements, install windows according to company and manufacturer standards, and help resolve installation issues in the field. This role requires strong technical knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to train junior installers while maintaining productivity and quality.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support a small team (Up to 5) of window installers on site. Perform hands-on window installation, including preparation, fitting, leveling, fastening, insulating, sealing, and finishing. Read and follow measurements, drawings, shop drawings, and manufacturer installation instructions. Check openings, flashing, waterproofing, alignment, and operation of installed windows. Help organize materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily work. Train and mentor junior installers on proper installation methods and site expectations. Identify and resolve installation issues before they become larger problems. Communicate with the foreman, supervisor, or project manager about site progress, deficiencies, and material needs.The position reports to the Installation Manager. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Follow company safety procedures and OHS requirements at all times.Ensure completed work meets company quality standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of window installation experience. Strong knowledge of window installation methods, flashing, sealing, waterproofing, and finishing details. Ability to lead by example and support less experienced installers. Ability to read basic drawings, measurements, and manufacturer guidelines. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Comfortable using installation tools and equipment safely. Able to lift heavy materials and work in different weather conditions.Valid driver’s license preferred or required, depending on company needs.
The Lead Window Installer is a senior hands-on installer responsible for guiding the crew, maintaining installation quality, helping train junior installers, and ensuring windows are installed correctly, safely, and efficiently.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
