We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have dental office experience and will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while performing the front desk operations of our Dental office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, dental insurance and benefits, attention to detail, proficiency in electronic dental records, and experience with dental office software such as Abeldent or similar Dental practice management software.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Handle cancellations and keep schedule full.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental records systems.
Process patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing accurately.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth office operations.
Keep up-to-date with dental terminology and office procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is a plus but on-the-job Training will be provided.
Familiarity with Dental Practice Management software, particularly Abeldent is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in using phone systems and managing multiple lines effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
