CNC Machinist (CNC Lathe & CNC Milling Programmer/Setup Operator)
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for one of our respected manufacturing clients. We are looking for a highly skilled machinist who can set up, operate, and program CNC Lathe and CNC Milling machines, with strong expertise in CNC Lathe machining.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing precision components, enjoys working independently, and is looking to grow into a Team Lead or Leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and program CNC Lathe and CNC Milling machines.
- Perform complete machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Select proper tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies.
- Produce precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less experienced machinists as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
- Strong experience with CNC Lathe machining (required).
- Experience with CNC Milling setup and operation.
- Proven ability to program, set up, and operate CNC machines independently.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.
Leadership Opportunity

Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
