Overview
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Temporary Class 3 Fuel Driver (6 month term with opportunity to extend) to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate tank trucks to deliver fuel efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate Class 3 tank trucks for fuel delivery
- Load and unload fuel at multiple customer locations using appropriate equipment when necessary
- Drive route schedules efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition before each shift
- Deliver fuel products accurately to various commercial clients, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes traveled, and vehicle inspections for accountability and reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in class 3 truck driving, especially with liquid hauling
- Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and vehicle safety procedures
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other handling equipment when required
- Excellent route planning skills for efficient delivery scheduling
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with freight delivery preferred
