Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee all areas of the premises
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Conduct security checks at entry and exit points to verify identities and ensure only authorized personnel access restricted areas
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement security protocols
Skills
- Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and procedures
- Experience with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to minimize theft and damage
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during emergencies or high-stress situations
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance throughout shifts
