Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with hands-on experience in both construction and residential settings. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as expertise in working with various electrical systems, including low voltage applications. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, and commercial.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with residential wiring and low voltage prefered.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on various projects.
- Residential background is a plus, showcasing versatility in handling multiple types of repairs or installations.
