ABOUT US:
Tri-Core Projects Ltd. is a Manitoba-based full service civil and environmental construction company that has been proudly operating since 2003. Our operations include demolition, site preparation, excavation, underground service installation, remediation services, telecom, and special projects.
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and dedicated Part Services Technician to join our team.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Parts ordering, inventory, and data entry
a) Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine appropriate ordering needs
b) Source multiple vendor pricing for significant part orders
c) Pick-up and deliver parts as required (to shop or field)
d) Input and Deliver Equipment Oil Samples (SOS) to Toromont CAT
e) Enter equipment part invoicing information in maintenance software
f) *Maintains equipment records through electronic work order software
g) Creating maintenance programs for equipment in maintenance software program
Inspections and Scheduled Preventative Maintenance
a) Troubleshoot, clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on small equipment and tools as time allows
b) Source and purchase shop tooling as required
c) Communicate pre-repair, ongoing, and post-repair equipment details with shop supervisor.
Automotive and light duty mechanic assistance
a) Complete required paperwork as it relates to maintenance work orders.
b) Assist Technicians with general duties
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
a) Helping in any way possible with equipment and tool maintenance and repairs.
b) Maintains and updates technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
c) Load and unload parts and shop supplies as required
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license (Class 5)
- Criminal background check as required
- Driver’s Abstract
- Maintain current certifications as required
- Forklift experience
- Understand and abide by our:
- HR Policy Manual
- SiteDocs requirements
- Safety, Health, and Environmental Program
- Preventative Maintenance Procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of typical construction tools, equipment, and materials
- Strong work ethic and be consistently punctual
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong initiative in the position
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members including the written and spoken word.
- Able to multi-task and oversee multiple concurrent work orders
- Class 5 drivers licence
- Basic computer skills
- Criminal Background Check as required for secure sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with asset maintenance software
- Demonstrated knowledge in:
- Heavy equipment repair
- Automotive repair
- Small engine repair
- Class 3 w/ Air
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, PROFICIENCIES
- Knowledgeable of health and safety as related to the project site and industry. Proper use of heavy-duty equipment and tools. Industry related materials and operations.
- Skilled in providing and following oral and written instructions, and in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, communicating with all level of team members.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to perform essential duties with minimum supervision, develop and cultivate productive relationships and work well with others and in a group.
- Proficient in the use and management of shop tools and equipment
