Job description:
Keltic Geomatics is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Lead/Drafter with 5+ years to join our team in a combined office and field role. You'll split your time between hands-on field surveying with our crew and office-based work, processing data, preparing jobs, and delivering as-builts. Office days offer the opportunity to work from home when you're not required on-site. As the company grows, there is opportunity for the role to shift toward more office-based work over time, with the right person eventually stepping into a Survey Manager capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform construction survey in the field as part of an active crew
- Set up and prepare jobs for field crews prior to mobilization, including creating survey layout files
- Process and quality-check field data using Civil 3D and TBC and direct field staff to acquire additional data as needed
- Produce accurate, complete as-built drawings and reports for timely client delivery
- Provide technical support to field staff, including occasional after-hours assistance
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive construction survey and geomatics experience
- Field crew lead or party chief experience, able to run a crew independently on site
- Strong, proven proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center (TBC) - this is non-negotiable
- Comfortable working both in the field and in the office
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deliverables independently
- Available for field questions outside of regular hours when projects demand it
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel province-wide
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Survey Technology, or equivalent experience considered

Pay: $48.00-$58.00 per hour
