Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Support medication administration following medical protocols while maintaining strict adherence to privacy regulations.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral management.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and hospice support to ensure comfort and safety.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning patient areas, laundry services, meal preparation, and ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on senior or long-term care.
- Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to caregiving tasks and healthcare procedures.
- Ability to assist with complex ADLs such as catheter care, medication administration, and mobility assistance using lifts like Hoyer lifts.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- CPR certification and training in hospice or palliative care preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain if needed.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
