Job Overview
When fire, flood, or storm turns someone's home or business upside down, HydraClean is who shows up. Since 1989 our crews have been rebuilding lives and communities across British Columbia — and we're growing. We're hiring reliable, hands-on people in the Grand Forks and Boundary region for restoration, skilled trades, and general labour work.
Whether you're an experienced tradesperson or someone with a strong back and a strong work ethic looking to break into the trades, there's a place for you on our team. No two days are the same — one day you're helping protect and pack out a family's belongings after a basement flood, the next you're framing, hanging drywall, or doing the final clean before a business reopens its doors. It's physical, fast-moving, genuinely meaningful work, and you'll see the difference you make on every job.
What You'll Do
- Respond to water, fire, smoke, mould, and storm-damage projects in homes and commercial buildings
- Perform controlled demolition, debris removal, and site clean-up
- Set up, run, and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers) and containment
- Support our skilled trades with reconstruction — framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and finishing
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and job-site equipment
- Load, stage, and protect materials, contents, and gear; keep every site clean, organized, and safe
- Follow safety protocols and IICRC industry standards on every project
What You Bring
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude — this matters most to us
- Comfort with physical work: lifting, bending, climbing, and being on your feet
- Experience in construction, restoration, cleaning, or a skilled trade is an asset — but we'll train the right person
- Skilled tradespeople (carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring) are strongly encouraged to apply
- The ability to follow direction, solve problems, and take pride in quality work
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Willingness to occasionally respond to after-hours or emergency calls — we run 24/7
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Why HydraClean
- Steady, year-round work with an established, respected company — 37 years and counting
- Competitive wages based on experience
- Paid on-the-job training and a real path to industry certification and skilled-trade advancement
- Varied, purposeful work — you're helping people through some of their hardest days
- A supportive crew, experienced leadership, and room to grow into lead hand, technician, or estimator roles
- Extended health/Dental Benefits
