Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods with attention to detail and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and pastries using advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing products.
- Ensure all food items meet quality standards, food safety regulations, and proper handling procedures.
- Assist in food preparation tasks including mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
- Package baked goods for takeout or delivery while maintaining product integrity and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and support overall restaurant operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests about menu offerings and special requests as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field; restaurant experience preferred.
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food safety standards (such as HACCP).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with an artistic eye for presentation.
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
