Overview
We are seeking a skilled 310T Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, and industrial systems, along with a strong mechanical background. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm equipment, and more in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly tasks
- Heavy lifting of parts and equipment as needed to facilitate repairs or maintenance
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of industrial equipment when required
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment, automotive repair, or industrial machinery
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Caterpillar, HVAC systems, electrical systems, schematics, and power tools
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial machinery
- Skilled in welding, HVAC repair, electrical troubleshooting, and general maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with farm machinery or construction equipment is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Ability to read technical schematics and manuals for complex repairs
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in assembly and maintenance tasks
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
