We are looking for a licensed electrician to support residential heat pump installation projects across Ontario, including projects in P postal code areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing electrical panel work, high-voltage wiring, sub-panel installations, load management device installations, and ESA permit submissions related to heat pump installations.
This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, travelling to job sites, and coordinating with HVAC installation crews to ensure safe and code-compliant electrical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete electrical work required for residential heat pump installations
- Perform panel swaps, panel upgrades, and panel modifications where required
- Install and wire sub-panels, breakers, disconnects, and related electrical components
- Complete high-voltage wiring for indoor and outdoor heat pump equipment
- Install load management devices as required
- Coordinate with HVAC crews to support smooth project execution
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on site
- Submit ESA permits and ensure all work complies with ESA requirements and the Ontario Electrical Code
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers, project coordinators, and internal teams
- Travel to project sites, including P postal code areas, as required
Requirements:
- Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician License
- Minimum 2 years of field experience preferred
- Experience with residential panel work, sub-panels, and high-voltage wiring
- Experience installing load management devices is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with heat pump installation electrical requirements is an asset
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code and ESA inspection process
- Ability to submit ESA permits
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel to project sites, including P postal code areas
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience:
- Residential heat pump or HVAC-related electrical work
- Panel upgrades and service modifications
- Working with HVAC contractors or retrofit programs
- Experience travelling for rural or remote job sites
Compensation:
Compensation will be discussed based on experience, licensing, travel requirements, and project scope.
Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
