Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 4 driver to join our expansion in the Vernon, Salmon Arm,Kamloops area. . . As a driver, you will be responsible for transporting people to various locations, using a wheelchair van or a sedan.
It is physical work where you need to be flexible and agile in order to secure chairs into the vans.
Please only apply if you hold a class 1,2or 4 license.
Duties:
- Safely operate wheelchair vehicle, to transport people to and from appointments
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Plan routes and schedules to optimize efficiency
- Communicate with manager to deal with any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents
Skills:
- Proven experience and clean abstract
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps to plan routes effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
