Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with food plating and garnishing for service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks effectively
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles, preferably within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to various station assignments within the kitchen environment
