Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team for canada to US with valid visa and passport. (Fast card an asset)The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and materials across various locations. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and maintain the company's high standards.
Duties
- Operate Class 1 commercial trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely to designated destinations
- Hold a valid visa or passport to enter in USA.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, and compliance with transportation regulations
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when required to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during operations
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving (2 year preferred) with a valid Class 1 license
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for transporting goods
- 99% no freight touch
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
