Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Home Chef to prepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals in a home or small-scale setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary skills while providing exceptional food service in a welcoming environment. Must have Asian food preparation experience.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Supervise food service operations, ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing
- Lead and coordinate team members in food preparation and serving activities
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing dietary preferences and special requests
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management
- Supervising experience or team management skills preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to oversee kitchen operations effectively
- Background in the food industry, hospitality, or restaurant experience highly desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food presentation, serving techniques, and culinary arts
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
