Wire Construction
Wire Construction is seeking experienced Excavator, Dozer, and Skidsteer Operators to join our growing team. We are actively working on a diverse range of commercial and residential earthworks projects including mass excavation, detailed excavation, bridge abutments, fine grading, demolition, and underground installations.
We have opportunities within both our civil/commercial division and our residential group, offering steady, year-round work across multiple scopes. Competitive wages are provided to meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators, dozers, and skidsteers on commercial and residential job sites
- Perform mass excavation, detail excavation, bridge abutment work, fine grading, and demolition
- Execute basement excavations and backfill operations
- Install water, storm, and sanitary services in residential developments
- Complete cut and fill operations using dozers and graders
- Read and interpret construction drawings, grade stakes, and survey layout
- Work collaboratively with foremen, grade crews, and site supervisors
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain machinery in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and hazard assessment requirements
- Maintain productivity targets while ensuring quality workmanship
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, and/or skidsteers in civil or residential construction
- Experience in mass excavation, fine grading, and underground servicing
- Strong understanding of safe excavation practices
- Ability to read grade stakes and interpret site plans
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a crew
