Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and assessing risks to determine approval or denial of loan applications.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate loan applications for risk assessment
- Review financial statements, credit reports, and other financial information
- Conduct risk analysis and underwriting of loans
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with loan officers, account managers, and other team members
- Provide recommendations on loan approvals or denials based on risk assessment
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience in underwriting or related financial services role
- Strong mathematical skills for data analysis and risk assessment
- Ability to collect and analyze data effectively
- Knowledge of risk analysis techniques and financial regulations
