Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, with opportunities to operate heavy equipment and utilize automotive repair skills as needed. This is a three (3) month term with a possible extension.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated destinations
- Ensure accurate delivery of products while adhering to scheduled routes and timelines
- Inspect vehicles regularly for safety and maintenance issues, performing basic automotive repairs if qualified
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery receipts and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management and freight handling as required
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle maintenance tasks
- Proven ability to operate large vehicles safely in various conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract is required
- Experience with freight handling, warehouse operations, or logistics is beneficial
