Job Title: Fabrication Fitter
Schedule: 10 hour shift
Days: Monday – Thursday / 40 hrs per week / some overtime may be required.

Cor-Tek Industrial Services is a privately owned and operated company that offers Structural Steel, erection, hydraulic, mechanical, machining and custom fabrication. From steel superstructures to a single house beam, stairways to handrails, we will provide prompt, courteous and professional service. We often work closely with architects, designers, engineers & general contractors to make sure the job is done right the first time, every time. We take pride in our workmanship and are extremely diligent with following our client's schedules and due dates.
We are currently seeking an experience Fabrication Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be self-motived with a high standard of workmanship, able to produce quality products, and have a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
- Measure, cut, fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and torches for tacking.
- Use calipers, schematics, and other measuring tools to ensure precise fitting of components.
- Rigging and crane operation to lift and position heavy materials safely during fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication machinery efficiently to complete tasks on schedule.
- Painting and galvanizing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication fitting or related manufacturing roles of at least 2 years.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in rigging operations and crane handling for lifting heavy materials safely.
- Proficiency with calipers, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics reading.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and ability to work in a team environment.
- Construction experience or forklift operation skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
