This is primarily a remote position based in Nova Scotia (Truro and surrounding area preferred), offering 30–40 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on workload. The role is primarily focused on bookkeeping and financial administration, with some administrative support as needed to assist day-to-day operations.

Position Details :
Title: Bookkeeper & Office Administrator
Work Hours: 30–40 hours per week (flexible schedule based on workload)
Location: Remote / Work from Home (must reside in Nova Scotia – Truro and surrounding area preferred)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Prepare and send invoices; monitor accounts receivable
- Record and categorize expenses
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting
- Track and organize receipts and supplier invoices
- Provide administrative support such as document preparation, basic coordination, and occasional phone coverage
- Assist with ordering materials and supplies as required
- Provide support with scheduling, quoting, and client follow-ups as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role (2+ years preferred)
- Comfortable working in a small business environment
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
