Job description:
Karl's Truck Service is seeking a skilled and versatile Truck and Coach Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical expertise, with experience working on heavy and mid-size duty vehicles. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy diesel trucks, mid-size trucks and trailers to ensure optimal operation and safety.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, annual safety inspections and repairs on heavy trucks, mid-size trucks, trailers, etc.
- Perform emission testing through DriveON.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools effectively
- Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, to identify issues and execute repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all operations
Skills
- Proven experience with heavy truck repair preferred
- Valid 310T License with a minimum 5 yrs experience
- DriveON experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Detroit, CAT, Paccar, Cummins, Transmissions, Air Systems, power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and electrical systems
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
