Cowan Buick GMC is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our growing team. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for the automotive industry, this is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with one of Durham Region's trusted GM dealerships.
As a Parts Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our service department, technicians, wholesale customers, and retail clients by ensuring the right parts are available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers with parts inquiries and purchases
- Identify and source GM and aftermarket parts using electronic catalog systems
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and product information
- Process parts orders, returns, warranty parts, and credits
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock orders
- Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure efficient repairs
- Receive and stock incoming inventory shipments
- Promote accessories and maintenance-related products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department
Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts experience preferred
- GM dealership experience considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Familiarity with electronic parts catalog systems
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Valid Ontario Driver's License with clean driving record
