Senior Poultry Farm Supervisor
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary $65,000-80,000(based on experience)
Schedule: Weekdays + rotating weekends/on-call
Reports to: General Manager
Paragon Farms is seeking a proven, hands-on Poultry Farm Supervisor to take direct ownership of day-to-day turkey barn operations. This role is for someone who:
- Has practical, hands-on experience working in poultry barns
- Is confident managing barn operations and achieving strong flock performance
- Is able to lead, support, and hold teams to high standards while solving problems effectively
- Is mechanically capable with a strong operational mindset
- Is comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for results

Paragon Farms is a third-generation, family-owned poultry operation and one of BC’s established poultry producers. We run a professional, performance-driven operation focused on animal welfare, biosecurity, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
You are responsible for performance, staff, birds, and barns.
- Full operational responsibility for turkey barns
- Direct leadership of farm staff (training, scheduling, performance management)
- Execution of all flock programs: feeding, lighting, ventilation, water, and welfare
- Daily management of Fancom / Maximus (or equivalent) control systems
- Proactive flock health management using data, observation, and discipline
- Barn readiness, clean-outs, placements, and turnarounds
- Equipment condition, basic repairs, and maintenance coordination
- Audit readiness, biosecurity compliance, and record keeping
- Cost awareness, efficiency improvement, and waste reduction
- On-call decision-making for urgent farm issues
Qualifications
You must bring:
- 3+ years poultry barn experience (required)
- Supervisory or lead-hand experience (required)
- Experience running or managing barns, not just working in them
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Confidence with barn controllers (Fancom, Maximus, or similar)
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute without hand-holding
- High standards for cleanliness, bird care, and staff performance
- Strong communication in English (written and spoken)
You must be:
- Hands-on, dependable, and confident in making day-to-day decisions
- Flexible and willing to put in extra time when operational needs require it
- Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and outcomes
- Physically capable of working in an active farm environment, including lifting 10–25 lbs
- Legally eligible to work in Canada (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid open work permit)
