Role Description:
The Automation Technician Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Vaughan, ON. This position supports the configuration, testing, and maintenance of self-service technologies, which includes all our automated products. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system installations and upgrades, and documenting technical procedures and findings. The Automation Technician Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze performance data, and recommend improvements to system reliability and user experience. The role may also involve coordinating small technical projects, supporting demonstrations, and communicating technical information clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
· Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to diagnose technical issues, interpret data, and evaluate solution options.
· Candidates should possess solid Communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts, prepare documentation, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
· Candidates should possess foundational Information Technology skills, including familiarity with hardware components, operating systems, basic networking, and system configuration.
· Candidates should possess Project Management skills to help organize tasks, track timelines, and support the successful delivery of technical initiatives.
· Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, problem-solving ability, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and strong customer service orientation.
· Post-secondary education in Automation, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (completed or in progress) is preferred.
· Experience working with kiosks, vending systems, automation technologies, or similar hardware/software environments is an asset.
· Strong knowledge of electronic components, 3D printing, hardware functionality and the ability to accurately read hardware schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Must have a reliable vehicle and be authorized to work in Canada
· The Automation Technician specialist must be able to travel abroad, therefore a valid up to date passport is required.

Pay: $52,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
