Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Coordinator to oversee and facilitate engaging activities for children in our community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment that promotes learning, social development, and fun. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for working with youth, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. Experience in teaching or educational settings is highly valued to ensure effective program delivery and positive student interactions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement daily after-school activities that align with program goals and curriculum standards.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and program updates.
- Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program offerings.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and manage program supplies and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements to enhance participant engagement.
Experience
- Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Passion for youth development and creating positive learning experiences.
