About EXACT
EXACT builds game-changing technology for the concrete industry - the people creating the roads, bridges, tunnels, and buildings of the future. Our platform captures critical operational data from large constructors and precasters, and we're now building the AI-powered tools that turn that data into actionable insights.
Our mission: make one of the world's largest and most carbon-intensive industries more efficient, sustainable, and safe.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join the growing team in our Toronto office. You'll own the product strategy and roadmap for EXACT's software platform — and contribute to hardware where needed — working at the intersection of client operations, data analytics, and AI.
This is a builder role. Many of the processes and structures below are things you'll be establishing, not inheriting. That requires someone who can hold long-term strategy in one hand and make sharp tactical calls in the other - often on the same day. You'll need to be equally comfortable setting direction for the next year and deciding what ships this sprint.
You'll partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and directly with clients to define what gets built and why. That means understanding the market, reading competitive and commercial signals, and translating them into a product strategy that wins - not just a backlog that keeps the team busy.
The way product management is done is changing. We expect you to use AI tools to move faster: ship prototypes, not just wireframes; validate assumptions before writing specs.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Product strategy and roadmap - Define and communicate a compelling vision that aligns with company goals and client needs. Make the hard prioritization calls and defend them.
- Discovery and requirements - Conduct deep client and market research. Translate findings into actionable PRDs, Jira Epics, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Delivery - Embedded with engineering through sprint planning, demos, and defect triage. You ship things - not just specs.
- Quality - Work with QA to ensure features meet functional and usability standards before release. You own the outcome, not just the output.
- Launch and adoption - Plan and execute product launches end-to-end, including training, onboarding, and adoption tracking.
- Market and business insight - Track competitive dynamics, pricing signals, and market trends. Use data to sharpen positioning and inform build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
- Sales enablement - Equip the Sales team with product collateral, messaging, and competitive battlecards that actually close deals. You understand how the product is sold, not just built.
- Metrics and performance - Define success metrics, track them in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success, and use them to drive the next iteration.
- Documentation - Maintain user guides and training materials that actually get used.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in technical product management - B2B SaaS, cloud, IoT, or enterprise software
- Shipped mobile and cloud-based SaaS products from concept through launch and post-release iteration
- Requirements fluency: PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineers trust
- Strong technical foundation - enough to challenge architecture decisions and earn engineering respect
- Business and market acumen: read market data, size opportunities, connect product decisions to revenue
- Sales enablement experience: messaging, one-pagers, battlecards, demo narratives that help a field team win
- Exceptional communicator across audiences - clients to field engineers to executive level
- AI tools in your product workflow (prototyping, research synthesis, spec generation)
- Data analytics, telemetry, cloud platforms, or AI-driven product features
- Construction, industrial, or hardware-software experience
- Real-time data pipelines or dashboards
You're not waiting to be told what to build. You're fast at forming hypotheses, relentless about validating them before committing resources, and hold a high bar for UX in contexts where users aren't tech-savvy. You have a clear framework for what the team is not building - and you can sell that story to Sales as compellingly as the roadmap.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $105,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience
- Performance based bonus plan
- Extended Health and Dental Benefits
