Duties
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and commercial-grade tools
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
- Sort and organize clean items for efficient storage and easy access for kitchen staff
- Assist with food handling tasks as needed, supporting food preparation and service teams
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper sanitation practices are upheld
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with facility guidelines
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen environment by performing routine cleaning duties beyond dishwashing
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and food handling practices
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations including food preparation and cooking is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
