Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Immigration Case Processing Officer / LMIA case Specialist with a minimum of 3–4 years of Canadian immigration case processing experience. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of LMIA applications. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files in a high-volume environment while maintaining compliance with IRCC standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit LMIA applications under various streams including High-Wage, Low-Wage, Permanent Residence, Agricultural, and Global Talent Stream programs.
- Assess employer eligibility and ensure compliance with ESDC and immigration program requirements.
- Draft and review supporting documents including job advertisements, business legitimacy documents, transition plans, and employer declarations.
- Coordinate recruitment activities and ensure advertising requirements are properly met and documented.
- Conduct detailed reviews of job duties, wages, and employment conditions to ensure alignment with National Occupation Classification (NOC) requirements and prevailing wage standards.
- Communicate with employers, foreign workers, and government agencies regarding application status, document requests, and compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and document management systems.
- Monitor changes in immigration policies, LMIA regulations, and labour market requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist with responses to procedural fairness letters, employer compliance reviews, and additional document requests from Service Canada or ESDC.
- Provide administrative and case management support throughout the application lifecycle including LMIA based work permit application submission to IRCC.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive client and business information.
- Track application deadlines, recruitment periods, and submission timelines to ensure timely processing.
- Collaborate with internal consultants, legal representatives, and management to resolve complex case issues.
Qualifications
- Experience handling LMIA applications and Canadian immigration processes is required.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration regulations, ESDC requirements, and recruitment compliance standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
