Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright & Rigging Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning to completion, overseeing millwright and rigging operations, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will have proven estimating abilities, strong technical knowledge of automotive manufacturing systems (including conveyors), and the ability to work closely with site foremen to ensure smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee millwright and rigging projects from inception to completion.
- Work directly with site foremen to manage crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure project quality.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Communicate with clients to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise on site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in millwright and/or rigging operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or project management role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing systems, conveyors, and associated equipment.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
- Strong understanding of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
