Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in manufacturing safety standards and have a strong background in training and development to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies aligned with industry regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards within the manufacturing environment.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing development programs.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training completion, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management to update safety procedures and ensure adherence across all departments.
- Promote a culture of safety through effective communication, engagement, and leadership in safety initiatives.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a safety position in the oil and gas sector, specifically trucking, is considered an asset.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of industry-specific safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience in training & development, with the ability to design engaging safety programs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and foster employee engagement.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- A proactive approach to identifying hazards and implementing preventive measures.

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour
