Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled DZ Driver to join our clients transportation team. This role involves operating a DZ vehicles to transport alcohol safely and efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive driving experience, and a strong commitment to safety standards. As a vital member of our logistics operations, the DZ Driver will ensure timely deliveries, uphold vehicle maintenance protocols, and provide excellent communication with dispatch and clients. Key responsibilities include transporting alcohol and unloading cargo with proper handling equipment; conducting routine vehicle inspections; and adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate a DZ Tractor
- Load, secure, and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or electric walkie
- Offload by hand bombing
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
- Follow designated routes accurately while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
- Perform minor mechanical checks and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Assist in warehouse operations when necessary by moving goods within storage facilities.
- Uphold safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transit or loading activities.
- Support team efforts by maintaining a professional attitude and demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Skills
- Proven experience operating a straight truck
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including pump truck and walkie is advantageous.
- Familiarity with manual transmission systems is an asset
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while ensuring proper handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and routine vehicle inspections.
- Experience with route driving in diverse environments including urban, rural, or military settings is preferred.
- Physical capability to move freight safely and perform manual tasks related to cargo handling.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.64 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
