What the Role Does:
Build intelligent automation that accelerates paid search advertising performance.
As a Digital Marketing Automation Specialist, you will combine analytics expertise with hands-on technical ownership of AI, automation, reporting, and advertising platform solutions. You will improve the efficiency, reliability, and performance of LawDepot’s paid search marketing campaigns by building scalable tools, strengthening technical implementations, and enabling the team to make faster, data-informed decisions.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with the option to work hybrid from our Edmonton, Alberta office.
What You’ll Do:
Build AI-enabled tools and workflows that help the Performance Marketing department identify opportunities, improve campaign management efficiency, and make faster data-informed decisions
Create scalable reporting, dashboards, and proactive monitoring alerts that provide clear visibility into campaign performance, profitability, conversion tracking, and key performance indicators
Develop and optimize ad platform scripts and integrations that automate tasks and streamline operations
Identify opportunities to improve PPC processes through automation, platform integrations, third-party tools, and workflow enhancements
Execute technical changes to ad platform implementations
Monitor data quality and campaign health, investigate variances, and implement solutions to support accurate reporting
Serve as a primary technical resource for the team by providing internal support
Train and mentor team members on reporting tools, automation processes, and technical best practices
Research paid search platforms, AI capabilities, automation tools, and industry developments to identify opportunities
Maintain clear documentation for scripts, automations, reporting processes, and technical workflows
Directly manage a portfolio of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising to increase website traffic and drive conversions
Analyze campaign performance, financial data, and key performance indicators to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and recommend actions that improve efficiency, profitability, quality, and return on investment
Optimize campaign structure, bids, budgets, targeting, ad copy, and other performance levers to maximize profitability
What You Bring:
The Essentials
Post-secondary education in Data Science, Computing Science, Business Technology Management, Management Information Systems, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related analytical program
Experience using AI tools, automation, and database software for reporting, data manipulation, and workflow improvements
Ability to develop automation workflows, reports, dashboards, scripts, and technical integrations
Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with complex formulas, PivotTables, data visualizations etc
Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, performance opportunities, and actionable insights
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, synthesize complex analysis, and make actionable recommendations
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to important details
Sound judgement and strong data-driven decision-making ability
A collaborative and approachable working style, with the ability to effectively provide technical support to team members by troubleshooting tools, reporting, automation workflows, and data challenges
Natural curiosity and a strong problem-solving mindset, with a track record of fast learning and adapting to new platforms or methodologies
The Nice to Haves (Great if you have it and we’ll help you learn if you don’t)
Knowledge of PPC / SEM campaign management (Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising) and marketing KPIs
Experience with ad platform APIs, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other marketing analytics tools
Proficiency with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence
Experience with attribution modelling, feed management, conversion tracking, data pipelines, or third-party PPC tools
