Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital (BBVSH) is growing and seeking Hospital Kennel Assistants to join the team for day and evening shifts. Please note that this is an entry-level position and on the job training will be provided.

Hospital Kennel Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the cleanliness of patient care areas
- Ensure patient kennels are clean during the patient’s stay, sanitizing in between patients, preparing the kennel for the next patient
- Ensure hospital counters/workstations are clean, tidy, and ready to be used
- Maintain cleanliness of the patient kitchen and fridge, sanitizing food bowls and kennel tags, and ensure patient food is labelled and dated
Working with Veterinary Assistants (VAs) in the ER/ICU to complete their tasks
- Ensure hospital supplies are appropriately stocked (fluid bags, gloves, needles, gauze, bandage material, etc)
- Ensure hospital laundry is complete and folded/put away
Ensure overall tidiness of the hospital
- Change garbage and empty recycle bins when needed
- Clean floors (sweep, mop, vacuum) including replacing rugs
- Clean surfaces such as windows and glass doors
