Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Baker/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, baking, and creating visually appealing baked goods. This role involves preparing a variety of baked items and cooked dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of the food industry and excellent customer service skills.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including pastries, and bread, with attention to detail. cake decorating skill will help.
- Cook and assemble menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations
- Package baked goods and prepared foods for sale
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and assisting customers as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proficiency in baking techniques and cooking skills
- Experience in restaurant or kitchen settings preferred
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills across various cuisines
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Good packaging skills for baked goods and prepared foods
- Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
