The Maintenance position requires extensive hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial electrical systems (both low and high voltage), and metal fabrication/manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for supporting the facility’s maintenance operations while serving in the capacity of an electrician, mechanic, and technician. Key responsibilities include the installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment throughout all areas of the facility.
What you'll be responsible for
- Perform installation and modification work on facility machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external contractors when required.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and operational systems to minimize downtime.
- Refurbish and rebuild existing equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes before installation.
- Prepare cost estimates for equipment repairs and replacement projects.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial sewing machines.
- Promote and support compliance with health and safety regulations while proactively upholding workplace standards.
- Help ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
- Complete monthly project management activities and maintain related IT systems.
- Arrange and accompany vendors during building inspections, maintenance, and repair work.
- Provide guidance and oversight to an additional mechanic working on the evening shift
