Chef de Cuisine (CDC) – PUMP Group
PUMP Group is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to join our growing culinary leadership team.
We are looking for a strong kitchen leader who takes pride in food quality, team development, organization, and operational excellence. The CDC will play a key role in leading the culinary team, maintaining standards, controlling costs, and creating an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the culinary team through daily operations
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and execution
- Train, coach, and develop cooks and future kitchen leaders
- Ensure all recipes, portions, and standards are followed
- Manage food cost through proper ordering, prep, inventory, and waste control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Oversee kitchen organization including prep areas, walk-ins, freezers, and storage
- Work closely with restaurant leadership to improve operations and profitability
- Be hands-on during service and support the team during high-volume periods
- Create a positive, accountable, and respectful kitchen culture
Qualifications
- 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience (Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food cost, inventory, and kitchen operations
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for culinary excellence and hospitality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
