Job Title: Dispatcher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries, and communicating effectively with drivers and customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain logistics and transportation management systems.
Duties:
- Analyze transportation needs and coordinate freight movements
- Utilize SyteLine and AS400 systems to track shipments and update information
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations
- Monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dispatching role of minimum 4-5 years preferred
- Familiarity with transportation management systems
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Type accurately and efficiently
- Analytical mindset for problem-solving
- Proficiency in Supply Chain operations
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Familiarity with SyteLine software is a plus
- Understanding of Shipping and Receiving processes
