About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Home & Auto Insurance Broker to join our growing team in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. This role is ideal for a licensed insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building lasting client relationships.
You will be responsible for managing an established book of business while also generating and securing new opportunities through inbound inquiries via phone and email.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service an existing portfolio of personal lines clients (home and auto insurance)
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, providing quotes, advice, and policy solutions
- Quote, negotiate, and bind new business effectively
- Conduct policy reviews to ensure clients have appropriate coverage
- Maintain strong relationships to promote retention and cross-selling opportunities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company underwriting guidelines
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 2 Insurance License (Nova Scotia) – required
- CAIB designation (or working toward it) – preferred
- Proven experience in personal lines insurance (home and auto)
- Strong communication skills (both phone and email)
- Experience using EPIC Broker Management System (BMS) is considered a strong asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Assets
- French language skills (spoken and/or written) are considered a strong asset
