M. Davis Landscape & Design Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Shop & Yard Coordinator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on work and organizational responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in landscaping or construction is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Superintendents, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Loading and unloading materials, equipment, and deliveries using a forklift and small loader
- Organizing and maintaining inventory for the yard and shop
- Managing storage and tracking of tools and small equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness and overall organization of the shop and yard
- Coordinating and completing occasional deliveries to job sites
- Cleaning and maintaining company vehicles and equipment as required
- Ordering parts and supplies from equipment vendors
- Assisting with minor equipment maintenance and repairs
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Supporting additional operational tasks as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience operating equipment (e.g., forklifts, skid steers, small loaders)
- Valid Class G Driver’s Licence (Class DZ/AR considered an asset)
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, responsible, and team-oriented
- Ability to read and write in English (bilingualism is an asset)
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or farming is considered an asset
